I don’t know about being older, but I know as a young person life seems like a bottomless pit of possibilities, but each decision you make will cut some of them off and push you in another direction. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the choices that you think will shape your life forever.
This is what I had in mind when I was painting this. The hazy mix of indoor and outdoor, and the many light sources, came together to create an almost underwater sense, which I think sums up the feeling.
